Members of the QSDA are allowed to run for provincial and national tournaments within the province of Quebec at the secondary school level. This allows students within our debate programs to go to such tournaments run by Lower Canada College and Selwyn House, among others within the region that are restricted to QSDA members. By joining our program, students who normally wouldn’t be eligible, are able to participate in QSDA-run tournaments. (For example, many students from the French school system). In addition to the QSDA, we are in regular contact with McGill’s Debating Union, the University of Ottawa’s English Debating Society (EDS), and SEED Debate.
Tournaments our students have been to include: McGill University, University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Marianopolis College, various online tournaments.

Humans have a working memory of 7 words (give or take 3). This is why phone numbers are no longer than 10 digits because this is the limit of what we can remember on the spot.
